Currently, anyone can claim to be a green business, but a SEMS™ supplier is
equipped to deal with environmental and social issues. The company can produce a training certificate, a
sustainability plan with reduction goals and strategies, as well as independent third-party verification
that sustainable policies and practices are functional and not just self proclamations.
By registering in the SEMS™ tri-level program, your company profile is automatically added to the SEMS™
database – where you have the opportunity to move your business along a continuum of continuous improvements.
A baseline sustainability knowledge assessment will help you decide what direction to take on the road to
sustainability. So make certain SEMS™ is your first step before committing to any costly consultant relationship.
The Green & Sustainable Supplier Development Program© begins at the Knowledge Level. A two-part baseline assessment
and two-hour interactive e-course provide the business case for achieving sustainable development. The goal is to increase
supplier knowledge and understanding of client expectations in the new green economy. Because it is web based, SEMS™
training offers the flexibility of 24/7 access and can be completed through continuous or modular study. Upon successfully
passing a post quiz, you will receive a certificate of completion that automatically advances your company to the Skills
Level. A one-time fee of $100 is required for the Knowledge and Sustainability Assessments and to attend a two-hour sustainability
training e-course delivered via the web.
SEMS™ makes it easier to understand how all the components of a corporate Environmental Sustainability Scorecard work.
