The National Sustainability Coalition is a nonprofit outreach initiative designed to connect small suppliers with
technical resources and expand awareness of sustainable development necessary to meet client, customer and stakeholder expectations. The
intent is to implement an exciting training and certification program that focuses on achieving three major competencies – knowledge, skills
and ability – necessary for long-term small business sustainability. A team of experts developed the SEMS™ training and certification process
to be a global standard for measuring and improving environmental and social impacts in small business operations.
The Coalition operates as part of a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) tax exempt organization dedicated to improving the quality of life through technology
and training. Working in partnership with major corporations to green the supply chain, the Coalition provides state-of-the-art tools and expert
resources to assist small suppliers in achieving sustainability.
Dr. Calvin L. Green, Jr., an environmental engineer/scientist with The Procter & Gamble Company serves as chairperson of the Coalition’s Executive
Committee. He is joined by a distinguished group of professionals from business, education and government dedicated to promoting small business
sustainability in communities across America. Icy L. Williams, former corporate supplier diversity leader at Procter & Gamble, is uniquely qualified
to provide a thorough understanding of P&G and Walmart Scorecards. She is currently spearheading an initiative to help Tier One suppliers to green
their supply chains.
